WET PLATE SESSIONS
A standard wet plate studio session takes up to an hour from setting the studio and pouring the plates with chemistry to the final development. Exposure times are long and focus is very tight, so being still is important to avoid blurry or shaky images - keep that in mind if bringing small children or pets.
The original plate will come out backwards so it is best to avoid clothes with letters, words, numbers or anything of the like. Please note that the light sensitive silver on the plate sees colors differently. Anything blue will turn out lighter, most often white, while red or warmer colors will turn out dark or black.
You are always welcome to contact me with any questions you may have about a wet plate session. With proper notice and planning, it is possible to set up a studio on-site for special occasions. Make your reservation today for an awesome experience, and get a very unique and physical artwork that will last for generations to come.
